Makao was built as a community-first prediction market platform.
The core idea was simple: any topic can become a market if people are willing to express conviction on future outcomes.
Users could take two roles:
- player: join existing markets and earn when predictions are correct
- creator: launch markets, activate a community, and earn commissions from transaction activity
The product vision combined social interaction, collective forecasting, and market mechanics in one loop.
It was framed as "any prediction, anywhere, anytime."
